Affiliate links
labelled, with a disclosure.

Add exchange links that carry your referral code. They appear behind the Buy button on the coin screen and in place of an exchange's own trade link in the markets table, always labelled.

01Where the links appear

  • Buy button on the coin screen (text editable, default "Buy"). It opens a sheet with your exchange links for that coin and the disclosure.
  • Exchange tickers on the coin screen: when one of your links has the same CoinGecko exchange id as a ticker row (for example binance), that row opens your link instead of the exchange's trade page.
  • Every affiliate link carries the label "Affiliate link" (editable under Legal, cannot be empty) and the disclosure is shown with the links. Default disclosure: "Some links are affiliate links: the app may earn a commission at no extra cost to you."

02Set it up

  1. Join the exchanges' affiliate programmesEach exchange has its own programme, approval, terms and payout rules, and many restrict which countries may be targeted. Your agreement is with them.
  2. Add the linksConsole → Affiliates → Exchanges, one line per exchange:

    Logo and exchange id may be empty. coins is * for every coin or a comma-separated list of CoinGecko coin ids. order sorts the sheet. Example:

  3. Switch it onShow affiliate links on; keep Buy button on the coin screen on if you want the button.

An invalid line is skipped and listed on the Status page.

03Clicks and payouts

The app reports each impression of the Buy sheet and each tap on a link (POST /v1/track, no personal data, limited to 120 calls per IP per minute). The console's Affiliate clicks page shows taps per link per day.

Clicks are not revenue. When an exchange pays you, record the payout with its reference in the Revenue centre.

04Rules to respect

Crypto promotion is regulated

Apple, Google and many countries restrict apps that promote crypto exchanges, and require disclosures and licences in some regions. Keep the label and the disclosure, do not describe exchanges as investment advice, and check the store policies for your target countries before you switch affiliates on.

In the public demo the exchange entries are labelled samples that point at the exchanges' public homepages, with no referral codes.
